You are worthy of having the life you want.
There are many situations that lead to reaching out for help. Your day-to-day life just isn’t working for you or you don’t feel you are on the path for the life you envision for yourself. Perhaps you are feeling stuck and exhausted, but don’t know what steps to take to feel better. We can work together in addressing barriers and unhelpful aspects in order to move forward in a way that aligns with your goals and values.
My Background
I was born and raised in Hawaii, though for the past 14 years have called the Pacific Northwest home. After completing my Bachelor’s degree at the University of Evansville, I made my way to New England, later working to earn my Master’s of Social Work degree from Salem State University in Massachusetts.
My professional experience over the past 20 years has given me the privilege of working with youth, adults, and families in residential programs, foster care, group homes, community mental health, and most recently school based mental health.
My Approach & Philosophy
I don’t believe there is a one-size-fits all approach to therapy and value the uniqueness and strengths of each individual I work with. I believe that trust and transparency are of the utmost importance in a therapeutic relationship. After assessing your concerns and goals, we will work together in identifying the treatment interventions that work best for you. Education around mental health and wellness is always my priority to ensure you are informed to make the best choice for yourself.
I utilize a range of evidence-based therapeutic orientations:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
- Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
- Solution Focused Brief Interventions
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
